Discover Paradise: Where the World Meets, Amidst Stunning Beaches and Lush Coconut Groves
Embark on an unforgettable journey to Rolas Island, also known as 'Turtledove Island,' located just a two-and-a-half-hour drive from São Tomé's capital to Porto Alegre. Along the way, take in breathtaking sights, including the renowned Mouth of Hell and Big Dog Peak, with a delightful coffee break at Roça São João das Angolares.
Upon arrival in Porto Alegre, we will embark on a short boat ride to Rolas Island. This picturesque paradise, spanning 2.5 square kilometers, welcomes you with lush coconut plantations and a warm local community. Join a guided walk to the iconic 'Center of the World' landmark, where latitude 0º and longitude 0º meet, marking an unforgettable moment in this remote corner of the globe.
Next, you can choose to head directly to Coffee Beach or take a hike to the famous Bateria Beach. Here, you can see a natural geyser, enjoy breathtaking views, and perhaps take a swim if the water current and tide permit.
As you explore the island's natural wonders, stroll through fragrant coconut groves and encounter unique flora, including the distinctive tattoo leaf, wedding tree, and toothbrush leaf. Indulge in a delectable grilled fish lunch, freshly caught by local fishermen, at Coffee Beach. Afterward, take some time to relax and soak up the serene atmosphere of this idyllic island getaway.

Embark on a converted fishermen boat to reach
the famous Rolas Island. The duration of the ride is
approximately 20 minutes, subject to weather
and ocean conditions
CENTER OR THE WORLD
Hike a gently ascending slope for about 15 mn
to reach the famous spot... 0º longitude and 0º latitude..
