Protecting Sea Turtles with Programa Tatô
Environmental responsibility is at the core of our values, and one of our earliest partnerships was with Programa Tato, an NGO dedicated to the protection of sea turtles in São Tomé. Recognizing the importance of conservation, we have worked closely with their team to train and certify our guides in sustainable tourism practices.
Through this collaboration, we ensure that our tours not only educate travelers about the delicate marine ecosystem but also contribute financially to Programa Tato’s activities. A portion of the revenue generated from our turtle-watching tours is directly reinvested into their conservation efforts, helping to fund research, beach patrols, and community awareness programs.
Investing in Youth Development with CACAE
Beyond environmental initiatives, we are deeply committed to fostering education and cultural enrichment for the youth of São Tomé. That is why we proudly sponsor CACAE (Centro de Apoio Cultural a e Ajuda Escolar), a youth education association that provides vital opportunities for young people.
CACAE runs various programs, including apprenticeship training, capoeira classes, and a chess club, helping to equip the younger generation with skills and knowledge for a brighter future. A portion of our tour proceeds goes directly toward funding these programs, ensuring that children and teenagers have access to meaningful educational and extracurricular activities.
