Car Rental General Conditions
Our commitment
We provide vehicles in good or excellent general conditions, with AC, full insurance coverage and technical support.
General Rules
A) Location: All cars are rented on São Tomé Island only.
B) Pick Up & Drop Off:
– Pick up and drop off are free of charge within the capital city of São Tomé within regular office hours (8am to 8pm).
– Airport pick up and drop off is charged €20
– A €10 fee applies for pick-up and drop-off outside the city and within the Água Grande District.
– Delivery fees outside the Capital range from €25 to €60 (e.g., Santana, Neves). Contact us for a quotation.
-Extra fees: Pick up and drop off between 8 pm and 8 am, have an extra fee of €15 (cumulative with other fees).
C) Booking: To guarantee the availability of the selected vehicle, we recommend booking in advance. We will confirm vehicle availability via email or phone messaging (Whatsapp). If the selected vehicle is not available, we will offer a replacement solution.
D) Pre-Payment: A 20% pre-payment is required to secure the booking. If you are already in São Tomé, you may also make the pre-payment in cash. Payment can be done by bank transfer, Paypal, online credit card, Western Union transfer. Transfer fees are borne by the buyer.
E) Total Payment: The total remaining payment shall be issued in cash on the day of pick up. No deposit is required. For online payment, please make sure the remaining amount is paid 3 at least days prior to arrival.
F) Availability: If a pre-booked vehicle is no longer available, we will inform you promptly and replace it with a vehicle of the same category, offer a replacement solution, provide a free or discounted upgrade or provide reimbursement.
G) Insurance: All cars are insured at full-risk coverage with a deductible of 10% of the total repair expenses, or €140 minimal fee (franchise). There may be slight variations depending on our partners’ specific policies.
H) São Tomé Car Rental Market: There are many offers available. Consider factors such as year of release, maintenance history, insurance coverage, technical assistance and communication. These factors have an impact on the price of the rentals, and in the end may have also a great impact on the serenity of your vacations…
J) Vehicle Pictures: Please note that pictures are for reference only.
Our Obligations
K) We deliver the car at the scheduled time, provide quick replacement solutions and technical support if needed.
In case of a flat tire, the car is equipped with all necessary tools and a spare tire. Please change the tire and inform us promptly.
For other technical issues, contact us for assistance. Do not attempt repairs yourself, as additional fees may not be covered.
Client’s Obligations
L) See below list:
- Provide a valid driver’s license.
- Drive safely, obey local laws, and maintain polite manners.
- Take good care of the vehicle, especially on dirt roads, by driving slowly.
- To avoid fatigue, take regular breaks and stay hydrated.
- Do not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Avoid dangerous or irresponsible behavior.
- Do not leave the vehicle keys with a stranger (even if they seem trustworthy).
Failure to follow these rules may release us from liability for any resulting damages.
