Dive into the World of Wild Dolphins: Witness Their Playfulness and Songs !
In the nearby waters of São Tomé, two fascinating families of dolphins call this place home.
First, there's the common bottlenose dolphin (Latin: Tursiops truncatus), known for their impressive size and close-knit packs.
Then, there's the pantropical spotted dolphin (Latin: Stenella attenuata), smaller in size, with a distinctive white belly and skin adorned with charming spots. These incredible creatures live in packs of hundreds and are known for their playful nature.
As they often venture close to the shore for their morning meal, we recommend starting your tour as early as possible to maximize your chances of encountering them. Our success rate in spotting these magnificent dolphins is an impressive 85% or more.
To ensure you have the most immersive experience possible, we provide snorkeling equipment. This allows you to slip into the sea, observe these enchanting dolphins, and even listen to their captivating underwater serenades.
It's also known that a dozen cetacean species pass by our island on their migration routes, including cachalot, false killer whales, pilot whales, whale sharks, and of course, humpback whales every summer...

Meet with your guide and the crew at a beach located in the Capital.
We usually depart from São Pedro Chapel beach or from the airport beach Omali Lodge, Hotel Praia. But we can also arrange departure from Perigosa beach Pestana or even Praia PM near the Museum Please confirm during the check out.
