Departure and Boat Ride

Your adventure begins when your guide meets you at your hotel or in Porto Alegre. From there, you’ll hop on a boat to reach Rolas Island, departing from Porto Alegre, Inhame Resort, or Nguembu Resort depending on weather conditions. Enjoy the scenic ride and take in the views of the surrounding coast.

Boat Tour and Natural Wonders

Start with a full boat tour around the island. Keep an eye out for natural geysers, created by water pressure in the volcanic cavities of the cliffs. Make a stop at the famous Bateria Beach for an iconic photo opportunity. Swim to shore or snorkel around the cavities in search of octopuses and other marine life.

Village Walk and Center of the World

After the boat tour, land at the entrance of the local community village. Explore local handcraft shops and meet talented artists. Then, take a short 15-minute hike to the Center of the World landmark, marked with a beautiful mosaic. Along the way, admire lush tropical vegetation, including wedding leaves, toothbrush plants, tattoo leaves, and various fruit trees.

Coffee Beach Lunch and Relaxation

Continue your adventure at Coffee Beach for a traditional fishermen’s lunch, featuring freshly grilled fish and local vegetables such as breadfruit. Spend the afternoon swimming, relaxing, and soaking in the breathtaking landscape. Bring your mask and snorkel if you want to explore underwater.

Be aware that waves can be high depending on the season. You may also encounter local women selling coconut oil or men performing traditional Bulawe music for a tip, adding an authentic cultural touch to your visit.
