Whale Watching São Tomé

Experience the Whale Watching São Tomé excursion, where majestic marine giants come alive in their natural habitat. Each year, humpback whales, pilot whales, and dwarf killer whales grace the waters near the island, creating a spectacle that captivates every visitor.

Meet the Giants of the Sea

The humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) steals the show with its impressive size and acrobatics. Pilot whales (Globicephala) and dwarf killer whales (Pseudorca) also make frequent appearances, each offering unique behaviors and charm. With over 25 cetacean species inhabiting these waters, every excursion brings a new opportunity for discovery and wonder.

Explore and Swim in Pristine Waters

Depending on whale sightings, we may pause for a relaxing 20-minute swim at the serene Blue Lagoon or near Cabras Island. This optional stop allows you to connect with the marine environment while observing these magnificent creatures from a safe distance.
