Seaturtles Night Pack

Begin the evening with a general presentation about sea turtles over dinner in the local community, hosted by Nina, the cook of the NGO Programa Tato. Enjoy a delicious meal while learning about the fascinating life of sea turtles.

After dinner, head to the incubation center for the second part of the briefing. There, we will check if any baby sea turtles are ready to be released into the ocean. We will be joined by dedicated ecoguards, and whenever possible, a biologist from the protection program will accompany us to share insights.

From there, we will drive to a nearby beach to begin the night patrol. Experience the unique atmosphere of the beach at night as your eyes slowly adjust to the darkness. We will move from one beach to another, stopping at key locations to wait for any activity. The network of ecoguards will keep us informed of any sightings, ensuring we have enough time to reach and witness the sea turtles up close.

If we’re lucky, we might receive a call even before dinner is over, indicating a sighting! Depending on the natural conditions, we may also have the chance to release hatchlings during the night.
