VISA for São Tomé
Since São Tomé’s tourism industry has growing importance in the local economy (more than 17% of GDP), the authorities have arranged flexible laws about foreigners visiting the country. Tourist Visa are usually quite easy to obtain.
VISA FREE ENTRY
Many countries’ citizen are Visa free for a stay duration under 15 days.
This is true for European Schengen residents and travelers with a Shenghen Visa ; as well as for USA and Canada residents and Visa holders, but also for Visa free for citizens coming from Brasil, Japan, Russia, South Korea, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and many more. Applying online is quite simple, make sure you have a scan copy of your passport and a hotel reservation. Once received the confirmation of Visa acceptance, you will have to bring a printed copy of the document and hand it to the immigration service upon landing.

If you run out of time or do not succeed in processing an online Visa application, then you can go for the « Visa on arrival ». Make sure you have a valid Passport (minimum 6 months after your returning date) and a Hotel reservation.
